The cat, Sarina, was brought to Taylors Rehoming Centre in Dorchester after an RSPCA inspector found her in a bath with her kittens.

The poor cat was absolutely riddled with fleas.
But while her kittens were quickly adopted, Sarina spent an agonising 232 days at the centre before staff shared her story on TikTok.
Set to an instrumental version of Coldplay's Fix You, the emotional video amassed over 1.6 million views, much to the astonishment of staff. It showed Sarina in her pen with messages on the glass that told the cat's story.

The video then showed Sarina playing with one of the staff, highlighting her loving and affectionate nature.
The response was overwhelming, with numerous adoption applications, including one from the US. Sarina was adopted by a local woman within two weeks, much to everyone's delight.
