His owners had wrapped a chain tightly around him, denying him even the basic comfort of being able to reach his kennel. The poor pup had been living this way for 12 long years.
Life of neglect and torment
Fortunately, a volunteer from OTOZ Animals Inspectorate Gliwice had heard about his plight and quickly intervened.
When the owner was asked about Filipek, he was evasive and appeared unable to provide basic information about the dog. He had to rely on his daughter to answer questions. Despite their attempts to reclaim the dog after it had been removed from their care, Filipek was finally free from his living nightmare.
When Filipek was initially examined, it was discovered that he had prostate hypertrophy and liver disease. Not only that, his coat was completely matted with dirt.
Incredible transformation
Following a thorough grooming under anaesthetic, Filipek's true beauty was revealed. He looked like a completely different dog!
Thanks to his smart new look, Filipek found a new, caring family who gives him the love and care he deserves.
Gone are the days of heavy chains and sleeping in the cold and rain; now, he revels in a life filled with affection, nourishment, and the comfort of a warm sofa.
