On TikTok, a young woman named Izzy shared the rather amusing story of how she met her pet.
A black cat from out of nowhere
As she explains on her account, "izzybubblehead", she and her boyfriend were coming back from their shopping when a black cat appeared out of nowhere.
The tomcat started rubbing against all their shopping bags. Because of his friendly behaviour, the couple worried he might sneak into the house. To distract him, Izzy began to stroke him.
The couple eventually managed to get inside, but they realised the cat hadn't moved an inch. The determined tomcat decided to try his luck and eventually slipped into their home.
At first, the couple tried to ignore the animal, but he seemed completely at ease. The cat was so comfortable, in fact, that Izzy and her partner decided to go out and buy some supplies for their new housemate.
He made himself at home
As reported by The Dodo, Izzy's partner is allergic to cats and has never been fond of them. Yet, this particular cat managed to win his heart.
Of course, the couple took him to the vet to check for a microchip. When nothing was found, they decided to keep him.
