Heartbroken
Kota had escaped through a broken electric fence, and while Kelly and her family tried everything they could to find their dog, nobody had seen her.
After months of searching and desperate appeals for help, it seemed Kota had vanished without a trace... Until a glimmer of hope arrived in the form of a Facebook post, which shared the story of a stray dog living in the woods.
An enormous surprise
The post explained that Kota had been living in the woods behind a house, and nicknamed "Mama Dog" by the owners.

She had given birth to a little of four puppies, now named Huck, Finn, Creek and Bear.
A year from her disappearance, Kota and her little furry family are finally back home. But the ordeal has clearly taken its toll on the poor pup, who is a very different dog to the one who first went missing. With lots of love and patience, Kota's family are determined to help her settle back into her old life.
