In 2017, Imgur user @ridureyu found a black cat wandering alone in his neighbourhood.

"She was starving when I met her, so I decided to put some food down for her", he explained.
She may have been a tad shy, but the food was just too tempting. Having eaten, and feeling more confident, she started to approach the man.
She even started licking his hand to show her appreciation for this small act of kindness.
Settling in
Having seen how affectionate she was quickly becoming, the man couldn't face leaving her outside. She happily trotted into the house, and within minutes, was curled up next to him on the sofa, purring away. The clever kitty stole his heart in under an hour!
Having asked around the neighbourhood, it seemed Bossy (as she was newly named) didn't belong to anyone, and it quickly became apparent she had no intention of leaving anytime soon.
Veterinary diagnosis
"When I took Bossy to the vet, she was diagnosed with FIV. She's healthy at the moment, but I do make the most of every moment I have with my little one", her rescuer explained.
He captioned an adorable photo of her comforting him, saying, "once, when I was having a particularly stressful day, this happened":
"She has saved me from depression, keeping me company when I was alone and kissing me on the forehead when I felt unwell. I've given her a home, food, tonnes of love and all the belly rubs a cat could ask for". In return, Bossy has become a devoted companion to her favourite human. Six years later, she still hugs him at every opportunity she gets!
