The mother cat, presumably a stray, is seen patiently waiting on the doorstep, holding a kitten in her mouth. From the video, it appears to be a cat foster home with several cats being looked after.
As the door opens, the cat goes in and settles into an area with her kitten that appears to have been prepared for her. The mother cat snuggles up to the kitten for a moment, giving it many licks. She then goes outside again on her own, reappearing with another kitten in her mouth.
The mother cat makes six trips to fetch her kittens one by one, carrying each kitten in her mouth. Each kitten she places in her little cat nest, spending time with each one before going to get the next. On her sixth trip outside, it seems she’s just checking to ensure she has all her babies – five in total.

After the video was posted on YouTube, viewers were keen to comment on how loving and devoted the mum cat is. One person said, “I love how she brings each kitten, then takes the time to calm them before going back to fetch the other kitten. Animals are smarter than we think. And then she goes back one last time to check if she’s missed any kittens. Ah. So smart.”
