Ah yes by the way, a well socialized cat who, therefore trusts you, will not reject her little ones.

Ok :), but if we touch them there is a risk that the mother will reject them, right?

It is advisable to get kittens used to human contact as soon as possible, especially since the kitten will have to be weighed regularly in order to control its development. There is surely a waiting time after the birth of the kitten but I do not know it. On the other hand, if you have to help the cat to give birth, you must necessarily touch the kitten ...

If the mother of the little ones is a well-socialized cat who therefore trusts you, no problem touching the kittens from birth. In fact, it's good to do so because you should weigh them every day to check that they are growing (around 10 grams per day), plus it contributes to their socialization with humans. On the other hand, you should not fiddle with them constantly. It is important that the mother is with her kittens in a place where she feels safe, either in a box (with an opening on the front so that she can come and go as she pleases) or for example at the bottom of a wardrobe with cozy linens. Hope this helps!
