Darci - looking for a home

Meet Darci – The Little Lady Ready for Her Chance at Happiness

DOB 12 April 2021

Size - Small-Medium

Location:Rescue in Ayr

Darci has spent far too long waiting for a family of her own.

Originally taken from the streets after having multiple litters of puppies, Darci was brought to safety and spayed by our rescue partners.

What should have been the start of a new life sadly turned into more waiting, as she then spent over three years living in a shelter. Now, at last, Darci is in Ayr and ready to find the forever home she deserves.

Darci is a delightful little dog with a gentle, loving nature. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once she realises she's safe, all she wants is affection and companionship.

She has a sweetness about her that is impossible not to fall in love with. She's lovely with both people and other dogs and has already started learning about life beyond the shelter. Darci has done a little lead walking and is making good progress, but she will need a family willing to continue her training and help her build confidence in the world around her.

As Darci has never lived in a home before, her new family will need to be patient and understanding while she learns all the things most dogs take for granted, such as house training, household routines, and settling into family life.

Darci's Ideal Home

A calm, patient family willing to help her adjust to home life

A secure, enclosed garden where she can safely build confidence

Owners who understand that she may take a little time to settle

A home with or without another friendly dog

Older, sensible children only, as younger children may find her shyness overwhelming Darci is currently carrying a few extra pounds, so she would also benefit from a family who can help her enjoy gentle exercise and a healthy lifestyle.

What Darci lacks in confidence, she more than makes up for in kindness. She has waited years for someone to choose her, and we know that with a little love, time, and patience, she will become the most wonderful family companion. Could You Be Darci's Happy Ending? If you think you could offer Darci the loving forever home she deserves, please visit: www.savingandrehomingstrays.org Please read our adoption process and complete an application form. A successful home check and adoption donation will apply. Potential adopters must be willing to travel to Ayr to meet and collect Darci. Let's make sure Darci never has to wait for a family again
