Meet Lilo – The Little Poppet Who Wants to Be Your Whole World
Age 9 months Breed: French Bulldog
Location: Rescue in Ayr Lilo is only nine months old, but she's already mastered one very important thing — how to steal someone's heart!
This gorgeous little Frenchie has recently come into our care and is an absolute poppet. She's affectionate, playful, wonderfully people-focused and has a huge personality packed into her little body. Lilo absolutely ADORES her people.
She wants to be involved in everything you do and would happily spend her days following you around, cuddling up beside you and making sure she doesn't miss out on anything.
She becomes very attached to her humans and is a sensitive little soul, so we're looking for a family who will really enjoy having her as the centre of their world. And if meeting new people is involved? Even better! Lilo loves people and will happily greet visitors with her favourite toy in her mouth. It's her way of saying, "Hello! I've brought my toy — now let's be friends!"
What's Lilo Like?
An absolute poppet
Loves her people and wants to be with them
Loves carrying and greeting people with toys
Great with other dogs
Has lived happily with children over 5
Has lived with cats
Walks beautifully on a lead
Loves meeting new people
Affectionate and cuddly
Playful, sensitive and full of character Lilo is also a lovely little walking companion. She enjoys getting out and about and meeting the world, so her new family will have a brilliant little adventure buddy on their hands.
One Little Quirk Lilo had issues with food around the large dominant female bulldog in her last home but has not shown this since being in the rescue. This isn't something that needs to stop her living with another dog, but feeding should be monitored to begin with.
Lilo's Ideal Home Lilo could suit lots of different family homes, but there is one thing that is particularly important to us — her people need to be around for most of the time.
This little girl really thrives on human companionship.
She becomes attached to her family and wants to be involved in their everyday life, so we're looking for someone who genuinely wants a dog who will be their little shadow.
Lilo has previously lived with children over the age of five and has been great with them.
She has also lived with cats and gets along well with other dogs, subject to appropriate introductions and separate feeding.
As a young dog, she will also need her family to continue working on her house training.
Moving into a new home is a huge change, so adopters will need to be patient and understanding if she has a few accidents while she settles in and learns her new routine.
Lilo will be spayed before adoption and is already fully up to date with her vaccinations.
Why We Love Lilo Lilo is the kind of little dog who wants to be part of your life, not simply live alongside it.
She wants to walk with you, play with you, greet your friends, cuddle on the sofa and generally make sure she's involved in whatever is happening.
She's affectionate, funny, sensitive and completely adorable.
We're looking for someone who will fall head over heels for this little girl and, in return, let her fall head over heels for them. If you're looking for a Frenchie who wants to be your companion, your shadow, your walking buddy and your cuddle monster all rolled into one… Lilo could be your girl.
