Muna is a 2.5-3 year-old, medium sized, female Cross Breed. At 8 months she was found on the street and brought into the pound in Northern Spain with no information on her history or why she was given up by the people who were supposed to care for her. Muna is still a very young dog and now by no fault of her own she finds herself behind bars in a cold and noisy place. She has been at the pound for many, many months, and in all this time she has never received a single adoption application.
Can you imagine being an active, inquisitive, and social puppy shut in a cage hour after hour, day after day, with no option to run and play as a youngster should? This is Muna’s life at the moment, and we are hoping to find her as soon as possible a home where she is valued and where she will be loved and cared for forever.
Muna is friendly and social and she loves her cuddles from people. She currently shares a kennel with many other dogs and is great with them. We think she would benefit from doggy company in her new life or a home where she can have many doggy friends on her walks or outdoor activities. We are unable to test her around children or cats, so we are looking for a home without cats, and adults-only or with older, dog-experienced children.
We don’t know if Muna has lived in a home environment as she was brought in as a stray, so she will need a patient family, who understands life in a home may be new to her and she’ll need time to settle and adjust. She walks on the lead, and as an active dog who loves being outdoors, Muna will need a family who likes taking long walks and going hiking and on adventures.
Muna's personality
- Affectionate and loves cuddles
- Well behaved
- Active
Muna's preferences
- A home that has a good understanding and experience of dog behaviour
- A middle aged home that is active and enjoys outdoor activities on a daily basis - no young children as we have no way of seeing Muna around them at the pound.
- Dog company would be great, or lots of doggy friends to meet up with
- A home that's patient and has time to help her settle in and get used to unknown things
Muna would love a fully fenced garden, but we will evaluate applications on a case-by-case basis. Taking on a young dog involves a huge commitment to teach and support the dog, and we ask that people only apply if they have deeply considered this, and feel able to offer her a permanent home for the next 15 years of her life. In return, you will receive the unconditional love from this great little soul.
Muna is currently in northern Spain but will travel to the UK (England or Wales, Not Scotland) with her vaccinations, neutered, pet passport, and tested for Mediterranean diseases as soon as the right forever home comes forward. RBU provided.
