Meet Laly – The Tiny Treasure with the Biggest Heart

DOB: Approximately January 2024 (2½ years old)

Breed: Bichon Frise / Maltese Cross (believed)

 Location: Rescue in Ayr

It's hard to imagine how such a tiny little dog survived what Laly did. Laly was found abandoned in a forest in Romania, completely alone. For a little dog of her size, it was nothing short of a miracle that she survived. The forests are home to wolves, bears, and countless other dangers, yet somehow this brave little girl held on until she was found and brought to safety.

Today, Laly is leaving that life behind and looking for the one thing she's never truly had — a family to call her own. Laly is the definition of a cuddle bug. She would quite happily spend the entire day snuggled up beside you, soaking up every bit of love and affection you have to give. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but she has absolutely no aggression in her. Give her a little patience and a kind voice, and you'll soon have a devoted little shadow following you everywhere.

What Laly is Like

Exceptionally affectionate and loves cuddles

Gentle and sweet natured

Friendly with people

Excellent with other dogs

Quiet and not a yappy little dog

Clean in the house when given regular opportunities outside

Loves spending time outdoors relaxing in the garden Although Laly hasn't yet learned to walk on a lead, she's eager to learn and simply needs a family willing to teach her about the world.

Like many of our Romanian dogs, she's never experienced normal home life, so she'll need patience while she settles into a routine and learns the basics.

Laly's Ideal Home Laly could suit many different homes. Because she is such a tiny little girl, we would not place her with very young children. However, she could happily live with calm, dog-savvy older children who understand how to be gentle and respectful around small dogs.

She gets on beautifully with other dogs but would also be happy as an only dog, soaking up all the attention herself. We would love her to have access to a secure garden where she can enjoy one of her favourite hobbies—simply sitting outside and watching the world go by. While a garden isn't absolutely essential, access to safe outdoor space would make her very happy.

Why We Love Laly Laly doesn't ask for much. A warm bed. A gentle hand. A quiet place to sunbathe. And someone to cuddle. After everything she's been through, this tiny survivor deserves a lifetime of safety, kindness and love. We know whoever adopts Laly won't just be gaining a dog—they'll be gaining the sweetest, most devoted little companion they could ever wish for.
