David and his girlfriend were walking down a village road in Germany when they suddenly spotted something in the middle of the road.
A desperate attempt
As they got closer, they realised it was a lifeless cat. But it wasn’t just any cat. The cat was well-known in the village, and David knew she was pregnant.
Without hesitating for a single second, he ran back to his house to grab a knife. He then returned to the scene and performed an emergency C-section - right there in the middle of the road!
One lucky kitty
Incredibly, David was able to save two kittens. He brought them home and started caring for them around the clock. Unfortunately, 12 days later, one of the kittens passed away. But the other, Garfield, is still around and growing strong! Without David’s help, there's no doubt that he wouldn't have survived.
To help him care for Garfield, David has been receiving support and donations from all around Germany, where he is now known as the cat saviour! And rightly so!
We hope he and little Garfield have a long and beautiful future together!
