Forest officials exploring remote Indian Island make shocking discovery

Sometimes, you just happen to be in the right place at the right time. And this group of forest officials could not have picked a better time to go patrol a deserted island!

The Berhampur Forest Division officials were headed to Purunabandh Beach a few weeks ago to look for wildlife.

Once they arrived there, they realised that a small “island” had formed overnight with the tides. At first, they didn’t think anything of the uninhabited island. But suddenly, they saw something moving in the distance.

Give it a try!

Stray dog stuck on an island

As they got closer, they realised a stray dog was stuck on the island! He had probably been wandering around the beach the day before and been surprised by the quick tide.

The officials knew if they left the dog there, he wouldn’t stand a chance. So, they picked him up and lifted him onto their boat, ready to sail him back to the mainland!

The dog was clearly thankful for their intervention, placing his paw in their hands as if to say, “Thank you for saving my life, kind humans!”

An incredible gesture

The team posted about the intervention on social media, proudly saying:

“Everyone has a right to life!”

We couldn’t agree more. We hope the sweet dog is now being well looked after and won’t wander onto deserted islands anymore!
