When Caylee decided to buy a new sofa, the only thing she had on her mind was finding something that would suit her new flat.
However, she would soon discover that her new dream sofa would come with a furry surprise.
New sofa
Caylee had just moved from a house to a new apartment and discovered that her old sofa didn’t suit her new home. She decided it was time to part with her old sofa and get something new and soon fell in love with something pre-owned she found online.
Despite the sofa’s bottom springs being exposed and no liner under the sofa, Caylee was still keen to buy it and headed to the seller's home with her boyfriend to collect the furniture.
Once they’d got the sofa home, Caylee didn’t give it any more thought and went on with her day as normal. It wasn’t until the next day that she discovered that she may have gotten more than she bargained for with her sofa purchase.
Feline surprise
She was cooking dinner when her young son suddenly called out to her that there was a cat actually in the sofa. Despite her son’s insistence that there was a cat in the sofa, Caylee dismissed this as just her son talking about his imaginary cat, Ender Dragon.
A short while later, her puppy began to bark excitedly. Caylee went back into the room to check what was happening, but still didn’t see anything amiss. That was until she spotted a little white nose and two shiny cat eyes looking back at her.
Caylee had no idea how the mystery cat had found its way into her flat, as all her windows and doors were closed. Then it hit her. The sofa. There had been a cat inside the sofa after all.
She quickly sent a text to the sofa’s previous owner,r who revealed that yes, it was her cat. It must have decided to take a ride to Caylee’s house in the sofa.
The cat’s owner rushed over to Caylee’s flat to retrieve her feline friend. It took them about 20 minutes of searching the sofa, but they finally found the cat’s hiding place in the arm of the sofa.
It seems that the cat wasn’t keen to part with his beloved sofa!
