Rescuers were mobilised to save 86 dogs and two kittens from several breeding facilities.

From darkness to light
Most of the rescued dogs had been used for breeding. Rescuers found Poodles, Dachshunds, English Bulldogs, and Miniature American Shepherds.
Although their overall physical condition was deemed reasonably good, all of the animals underwent complete veterinary check-ups.
Complete silence
When they first arrived at the rescue centre, the pups were quite frightened by such a massive change. Their first instinct was to make no sound at all... For the first three days, absolute silence filled the ARC kennels.
But gradually, their behaviour began to change. The dogs started barking, settling into a routine, and above all, playing, much to the relief of the rescuers.
Two kittens with special needs
The two ginger kittens were also taken into care. The little male was suffering from an old eye injury and had to undergo surgery. The little female appears to see only shadows, which veterinarians believe is a congenital condition.
Over the coming weeks, the animals will be placed with ARC's partner shelters before they are ready to join their new families. We hope they find their forever homes very soon!
