In the town of Neuville-Vitasse, in the Pas-de-Calais region of France, a young boy named Gabin saved the lives of his sister and their dog from a house fire.

As reported by the news site 20Minutes, the young boy, who has Asperger's syndrome, was alone in the family home when a fire broke out in the kitchen.

A heroic act

The child led his sister to safety in the basement of the house, before going back upstairs to rescue their dog.

A proud father

Gabin then waited for the emergency services to arrive. It was a heroic act that made his father, a former firefighter, incredibly proud. Shortly before the fire, his dad had taught him what to do in such a situation.
