The email was from a man named Glenn, who explained that he had been feeding the colony of cats in his work yard for several years.
A family in need of help
Glenn's company was moving at the end of the week, which is why he was urgently seeking help for the cats he cared for. One of the mother cats in the colony had just given birth, but he had no idea where she had hidden her kittens.
When the Stray Cat Club rescuers arrived, they immediately began searching for the mother cat and her little ones. Once they spotted her, they followed her path. She jumped into a tree, then onto a roof, before disappearing behind a broken roof tile...
A rooftop rescue
Bingo! That was the hiding spot. The rescuers immediately set up their equipment to get closer to where she had vanished. They used construction tools to access the roof of the shed. It took several rescuers to get all five kittens out of their hiding place.
Finally, the mother cat and her five kittens were brought down from the roof and placed somewhere warm and safe. Before taking the family to a foster home, they took a moment to take some photos in the shed, with each rescuer holding one of the tiny rescued kittens. What an extraordinary team rescue!
