Cries from a drain lead to a shocking discovery

On 28th January, in the city of Parañaque in the Philippines, passers-by heard strange cries coming from under a storm drain cover.

As they got closer to the storm drain, the passers-by realised that the sounds were the tiny cries of puppies.

The poor little things could only have been a few weeks old.

Trapped

Unfortunately, the gap was too small to slip a hand or a tool through to get the puppies out. The passers-by didn't hesitate for a moment and decided to take drastic action.

They went to find a hammer to make the opening a little bigger. They even managed to move the top of the drain cover to free the puppies completely. Once the drain was open, they discovered two tiny black and white puppies huddled at the bottom. They were lying close to one another for comfort.

He wants to go back in

The two men lifted the puppies out to free them from their "trap". It was then that the little white puppy revealed his superpower: the art of squeezing into the most inaccessible places!

The tiny pup slipped right under the stone slab the men had moved, as if he wanted to return to his hiding spot. The sight of the little puppy trying to get back into the drain just after being rescued made his rescuers burst out laughing, and us too! You can watch the video of the rescue here.
