A watchful guardian
This sheepdog certainly keeps a watchful eye over his flock. In a video that has since gone viral, Judge can be seen in the barn with a tiny goat kid.
The little one is only a few weeks old, and his head is so small that he keeps poking it through the gaps in his enclosure's fence. Fortunately, Judge doesn't take his eyes off him for a second.
He gently pulls the little kid's head back from the wire. Then, when the kid tries to do it again, Judge stops him from poking his head back through. The kids have nothing to fear with their super protector on duty!
Fending off danger
Another video shows just what an exemplary job Judge and his siblings do to protect the flock. During the night, Bo, Lily, and Judge are woken by coyotes near the barn. The three livestock guarding dogs get up and take their positions outside to ward off the predators.
The trio start barking to make their presence known and scare away the coyotes, which works perfectly. Mission accomplished! Viewers were captivated by Judge and his incredible protective instinct. ”He is truly incredible! No wonder the goats are so relaxed around him with their kids,” wrote one user. Another commented: ”Judge = protector by night, kid-sitter by day.” Well done, Judge, for your exemplary work!
