A volunteer rescuer from the Montreal-based organisation, Chatons Orphelins Montréal, found a cat sitting outside his home on a cold, snowy day.

The cat was all alone, curled up in a ball in front of the door.

From the cold into a warm home

When the volunteer opened the door to let him in, the tabby cat was nervous, but he was too cold to stay outside alone.

He slowly and cautiously stepped inside to get warm.

He then spent a long time exploring the house, sniffing into every nook and cranny.

After thoroughly exploring his new surroundings, the tomcat was delighted to eat a hearty meal. He then curled up in some soft blankets for a well-deserved nap.

It turned out that the cat was a stray and had been wandering the neighbourhood for some time.

The rescuer discovered that the tomcat once had a family, but had been abandoned on the streets...

A loving cat's new beginning

The volunteer's family took him in to foster him and named him Lanslo.

The rescuer then took him to the vet for a check-up. Lanslo tested positive for FIV. He was also neutered and treated for some stomach issues.

Once he realised he was safe with his foster family, he started to enjoy being petted.

At first, Lanslo was puzzled by cat toys and didn't know what to do with them. Over time, he grew interested in them and even started bringing them to his new humans as gifts!

Lanslo is a lovely cat who seeks attention and purrs the moment you look at him.

Lanslo loves his new life as an indoor cat and brings endless joy and cuddles to his foster family while he waits to find his forever home!
