A kitten found itself stranded on the railing of a motorway bridge in Las Vegas.
The poor little thing was stuck there for over three weeks.
A risky rescue
Nathalie, a member of the animal welfare organisation Amor Peludo, saw a post about the trapped kitten. She immediately contacted her friend Lizzie Fuchs, whose father, Victor Fuchs, is the CEO of Helix Electric.
Lizzie went straight to the scene to help. Workers from Helix Electric used a cherry picker and two nets to rescue the kitten. Residents who had been alerting the authorities for three weeks also came to lend a hand.
Getting his strength back
According to the Amor Peludo rescue centre, the rescue would not have been possible without the coordination and equipment from Helix Electric. In tribute to this extraordinary rescue, the company gave the young kitten its name: Little Helix. The rescue centre also reported that the kitten is now safe at the Boca Park veterinary clinic. He was dehydrated and very thin, but overall, he is doing well. This kitten is definitely a tough little fighter!
Helix was later adopted.
