Luna didn't understand when her owner decided to surrender her to the Valley Animal Center in Fresno, California.
As is standard practice, the Pit Bull was placed in a kennel to help her settle in. In a viral video shared on TikTok, Luna can be seen patiently waiting for her family to come back for her, but they never will.
”Confused and stressed”
The abandonment has clearly taken its toll on her. As reported by Newsweek, the shelter environment was ”very difficult for Luna to cope with, and little by little, she completely withdrew into herself.”
The poor dog is ”confused and stressed” and needs a place where she can feel safe.
A quiet home needed
The volunteers and staff at the rescue have worked extensively with Luna. They discovered that she gets on very well with smaller dogs and loves being outdoors.
”Luna doesn't need much: a quiet, understanding home, and someone who can see past any prejudice and win her heart.”
She is currently up for adoption and is waiting for a new family to give her the loving home she deserves.
