Severely malnourished, weak, and deeply withdrawn, Milton was in such a state that it was impossible to tell what breed he was, or even what he was supposed to look like.
His former owners had bought him from a breeder but then severely neglected him, as reported by the animal website The Dodo.
Once rescued, Milton immediately received intensive veterinary treatment. He was given regular medicated baths, skin treatments to target the mites, and a highly nutritious diet to help him regain his strength.
