He explained that he had been away earlier in the day and feared the worst, knowing his pet’s time was close. When he arrived home, Captain Jack was still holding on. Within an hour, the dog died calmly in Barrowman’s arms, surrounded by family.
In his tribute, Barrowman described Captain Jack as a loyal companion who had been part of the family for 18 years. He expressed gratitude that his dog passed away from old age and did not suffer.
