A royal welcome for Otto
In early May 2026, Kate Middleton and Prince William officially introduced Otto, their second English Cocker Spaniel. "Welcome to the family," the couple wrote on their Instagram account.
This isn't the first time royal fans have seen Otto. In fact, the little brown dog made an appearance in a family photo published for the couple's 15th wedding anniversary.
Months of speculation
A little earlier in the year, Kate Middleton had announced the arrival of a puppy in her family. While visiting Cardigan, in Wales, Kate, who was interacting with a Cocker Spaniel mascot for a local company, let slip a confidence: "We have a little dog, he's only eight months old, and Orla is five."
Speculation about a new dog had begun the previous year, after Orla, the family's Cocker Spaniel, had a litter of four puppies.
