This is quite a story. This January, Brody Gamble, from Texas, USA, was searching for his dog, Ranger.
His pet had been missing for several hours. When his dog didn't return, Brody went out to look for him.
A desperate search
After posting an alert on social media, the young man decided to go around his neighbourhood, asking his neighbours for help.
According to The Dodo website, he had even printed out leaflets in the hope that someone would recognise his dog.
A surprise on the doorstep
And that's when the search took an unexpected turn. As he knocked on a neighbour's door, hoping to leave a leaflet, Brody came face to face with... Ranger.
Instead of Brody finding Ranger, it was Ranger who found him. Brody, stunned for a few moments, then hugged his dog tightly after days of searching.
It was a huge relief for the young man, who decided to treat his dog to a special meal. "I cooked him a nice little steak and made his bed extra comfy," he said.
