The café is dog-friendly, and Vela is always a welcome guest. But on this particular day, the dog had other plans in mind.
Sweltering temperatures
When Vela realised she was off her lead at the café terrace, she decided to go and explore somewhere else.
She trotted over to the fountain in the same square as the café.
And, of course, she didn't just stand by the fountain... Not only was it an extremely hot day, but Vela also loves to swim.
In a flash, the dog was in the water, happily splashing about in the fountain.
Taking the plunge
Swimming in the fountain isn't allowed, so her owner did her best to coax her back onto dry land.
But the dog was having none of it and refused to get out of the water.
So Anina had to take drastic measures. She jumped into the fountain herself to grab the dog by her collar and pull her out.
It worked... for a few seconds, before Vela jumped straight back into the water.
All the passers-by and people at the café watched the scene unfold and had a good laugh.
They even applauded at the end when Anina finally managed to get the cheeky pup out of the water and away from the fountain!
