On 17th November, Jarnell Garland was on her way to the supermarket in Houston, USA, when she came across a very unusual sight.

In the supermarket car park, a man had set up a small playpen. Inside, three adult French Bulldogs were happily playing with a ball.

A surprising offer

The man had put up a sign that read 'Free' in front of the pen, letting shoppers know the dogs were available at no cost. Jarnell couldn't quite believe what she was seeing. For one thing, she was only there to buy batteries, certainly not a dog. For another, the three dogs looked like French Bulldogs, a breed that can cost thousands of dollars.

In the United States, French Bulldogs can be worth anywhere between $1,500 and $3,500. So, it seemed very strange that the dogs were being offered for adoption for free. But, trusting her gut, Jarnell wound down her car window and asked the man if they were really free. It turned out they were.

An impulsive decision

In the end, as Jarnell explained in her video's caption, she let her "instinctive personality" take over. She welcomed one of the dogs into her car and decided to adopt him for life! Over 8 million people have watched the video on TikTok. Viewers were absolutely stunned and advised Jarnell to take the dog to a vet to make sure he was healthy. Thankfully, he was given a clean bill of health and is now thriving in his new home.

The dog is now named Prince and even has his own TikTok account. People praised the man for his good intentions, with one person commenting: "I love that he didn't just abandon them and wasn't in it for the money, but simply wanted to rehome them." We wish Prince a very happy life!
