Goose is a one-year-old crossbreed sheepdog who was adopted from Muddy Paws Rescue in New York.
The dog quickly settled into his new city life. As reported by The Dodo, Goose “constantly approaches random shopfronts or windows and tries to peer through to see what's going on and say hello to people”.
An unlikely friendship
One day, while walking down Christopher Street, Goose glanced into the lobby of a building and caught the eye of a stranger who was just as delighted to see him: a concierge named Isabel.
It was love at first sight. “He would look for her every day when we passed her building,” his owner recalled.
A daily ritual
Their friendship blossomed, and Isabel even gave him a present for Christmas. Ever since, the dog hasn't let go of his new soft toy.
Goose's owner had hoped his dog would settle into his new surroundings. The dog's special bond with Isabel showed him that the good boy had truly found his place in the city.
