Desmond's Army Animal Law Advocates, a charity based in Shelton, USA, has stepped in to rescue two kittens that were abandoned in terrible conditions.

On the 4th of January, at around 1 pm, two kittens were found abandoned in a shop's public toilets.

Rescuers from Desmond's Army arrived at the scene to help the two young cats.

They were terrified

The kittens were only a few weeks old. They were terrified by the situation and seemed disorientated. The rescuers took their time to gain their trust and reassure them.

CCTV footage from the shop revealed the silhouette of the person who may have abandoned them. Rescuers from Desmond's Army are offering a $5,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of the person or people responsible.

An important reminder

The rescuers were furious about the situation. On the 5th of January, they posted a message on their Facebook account to set the record straight. They stated that abandoning defenceless kittens in public toilets is an act of cruelty that puts their lives at risk and shows a complete disregard for animal welfare.

The charity's rescuers intend to do everything in their power to get justice for these two kittens. In the meantime, the little ones are in safe hands and can now rest, safe from harm. We wish them all the best for the future.
