The dog has formed an incredibly deep bond with his grandmother, who lives in the house right next door.
Even being apart for just a few days makes him terribly sad.
An unbreakable bond
The touching relationship between Chewy the Newfoundland and his grandmother is truly special. So when Chewy's family decided to go on holiday, he had to say a temporary goodbye to his best friend.
The poor dog was absolutely devastated, as the video below shows. He can be seen watching his grandmother from the car. It's incredibly moving to see the elderly lady wave him off, and you can tell she's just as heartbroken to see him go.
Touching hearts online
Chewy's owner was quick to reassure him that they were only going away for 48 hours, so he would see his best friend again very soon. She also promised that once they reached their destination, he would have a wonderful time.
In the comments section, viewers were completely smitten with their bond. "He just ADORES her!" wrote one person, while another added, "Oh! He doesn't want to leave her!" It seems Chewy doesn't need a holiday, because for him, every day with his grandmother is the best day ever!
