She was trying everything she could to get someone's attention and ask for help.

A cry for help
She posted a photo of the cat on her social media, and moments later, she was contacted by the Little Wanderers NYC rescue centre. The rescue shared the video to rally their community and find a foster home for the lovely cat.
The rescue's community immediately came together to offer their help. A foster family soon took in the cat, who they named Sonia. Once the brave little cat was able to rest in a cosy spot, she finally began to relax. She ate with a healthy appetite. Then, with a full belly, she turned to her new humans and showed them just how grateful she was.
A forever home
With her friendly and affectionate nature, the rescue knew it wouldn't be long before Sonia captured someone's heart. And just before Thanksgiving, a family with several other cats discovered her story and fell completely in love. They decided to adopt her and give her a forever home!
Sonia settled into her new home straight away. She got along wonderfully with the other cats from the very beginning. Best of all, Sonia loves perching on her new dad's shoulders! Her life on the streets is now a distant memory. Sonia is enjoying her new life and all the love from her humans!
