The feeling was mutual!
However, the shelter warned the family that the kitten had an eye infection.
She promises to care for her
Natalie promised to help the little cat get better. A TikTok video shows just how devoted the little girl was in caring for the cat, treating her and growing up alongside her! In the video caption, Natalie's mum wrote:
"Love can heal. My daughter was 3 years old when she decided to adopt a kitten she would need to care for. When we went to the shelter, they asked us if we were sure we wanted to adopt this one, because the kitten had an infection. My daughter didn't hesitate for a single second and immediately told me she would take care of her."
Indeed, Natalie truly showered the cat with love. She held her affectionately against her heart, gave her medicine conscientiously, shared meals side by side, and slept with her...
Natalie even carried the kitten around in a pushchair!
A magical bond
At the end of the video, we can see that both girls have grown up, which shows that Natalie's devoted efforts to care for her cat worked.
Little Skye is now fully recovered! The family has two other cats, Simba and Cindy, whom Natalie adores just as much.
Her mum added: "Even today, she loves caring for our cats, feeding them, playing with them and brushing them. She also says she wants to become a vet in the future."
A wonderful vocation has been born!
