Stray cat settles in a garden: days later, the 'problem' had multiplied

By Ludivine Mazzotti

Les Patounes de Bezons is a rescue organisation based in the Ile-de-France region of France.

On the 19th of May, rescuers from the organisation were called out to the home of someone who had contacted them urgently.

This person told them that a stray cat had given birth to her kittens in their garden.

Four little kittens

The grey mother cat was looking after her four little ones, but the poor things had no warm, safe shelter. So, rescuers from the Patounes de Bezons organisation went to the home to collect the entire feline family.

Thankfully, the rescue went smoothly. The whole family was placed with one of the rescue's volunteer foster families. The four kittens will now be able to grow up in a cosy, healthy, and safe environment with their mum. They will be weaned at the right time.

An important reminder

On Facebook, the rescuers issued a reminder about the importance of neutering pets. They explained that a lack of neutering leads to some people abandoning their cats, who then give birth to kittens on the streets, creating a never-ending problem.

For now, the rescue is not accepting adoption applications as the kittens are still too young. We are so relieved that the entire little family is now safe.
