When passers-by first spotted her, she was alone.
But some time later, the cat was seen again, this time with six tiny kittens by her side!
Quick thinking saves the day
Amy, the owner of Stardust shop, began leaving food where the cat had been spotted. She was trying to gain her trust, as the cat was very protective of her kittens. Gradually, the cat began to understand that Amy meant no harm. Quite the opposite, in fact.
Amy eventually managed to convince the mum (with the help of some treats) to come inside the warm shop. Curious, the cat explored every corner of the shop before settling comfortably on a vintage sofa!
Building real trust
As her kittens grew more independent, the cat named Mini spent more time indoors, keeping Amy company. Meanwhile, Amy worked with Tails High rescue to find loving homes for the kittens, as it was clear Mini had already chosen hers...
The rescuers from Tails High took in the kittens so Mini could be spayed. Thanks to a dedicated foster family, the timid kittens began to come out of their shells. Once they realised human hands weren't so scary after all, they started purring non-stop. When they're old enough, they'll be neutered and find loving homes through Tails High. As for Mini, she's enjoying life alongside Amy!
