Siberian cat Plumps is so used to the wilds of Alaska, she thinks nothing of settling down next to bull moose Tonka.
The awe-inspiring clip, which was shared to Instagram by her owner, left animal lovers around the world speechless.
Unlikely friends
"This was taken the day Lovey’s grown bull Tonka returned after many months away. The winter had seen record snow and we feared never seeing Tonka again? I will never forget the joy of looking behind the house that day and seeing Tonka resting in his favorite place", wrote Plumps' owner.
Tonka was introduced to the family as a calf, wandering onto the property in rural Alaska alongside his mother.
And having grown up around the Siberian cat, Tonka and Plumps have formed a beautiful, if unlikely, friendship.
"An animal this powerful might seem intimidating to Tonka, but brave Plumps has never attempted to harm a moose or even scare one away", confirmed her owner.
Never approach a moose
Tonka may be friendly, but his human friend is quick to warn people about the dangers of approaching a moose.
"Please never approach a moose in the wild for they can be extremely dangerous", she explained.
