Poor Stanford was found by a family in a park, abandoned without food or water.

When they took him to the Rockdale pound in the US, the pup wanted only one thing: to go home with the family who had rescued him.

The family returned to the shelter shortly after, hoping to bring Stanford home.

Sad news

They filled out an adoption application, gave Stanford a big hug, and promised he would soon be leaving with them.

When they came back a few days later, Stanford was the happiest dog in the world.

Unfortunately, the family returned with sad news.

Their landlord did not allow dogs, and Stanford, as adorable as he was, was no exception.

With heavy hearts, they had to explain to him that they couldn’t take him home. Their goodbye was heartbreaking.

Heartbreak for Stanford

Stanford watched them leave for the last time and lost all hope of finding a family.

Fortunately, rescuers from Humans and Animals United heard his story.

The team worked tirelessly to raise funds and find him a foster home.

Happy in his foster home

Thanks to their dedication, the rescuers were able to collect Stanford from the shelter a few days later.

Stanford was overjoyed to leave his kennel for the final time!

Although he is still searching for his forever family, he is now thriving in foster care.

Stanford spends his days curled up in a warm, cosy bed and loves going on adventures with his new favourite humans!
