When they realised their dog had gone into labour, Somjai Phummaman and Amphan couldn't wait to welcome the puppies into the world.
But shortly after the birth, they realised something was very wrong.
Unconditional love
The puppy, from Chachoengsao in central Thailand, was born with an extremely unusual genetic mutation.
The owners found themselves with a tiny cyclops! Instead of two eyes, the puppy had only one - right in the middle of its forehead.
Despite the way the puppy looked, the couple knew exactly what they were going to do.
"We hope he survives, even with his deformity.", they explained. "We want to keep him as a pet".
A difficult start
The tiny pup was named "Kevin" - because he reminds his family of a Minion.
Sadly for little Kevin, he has other deformities that give him a truly unforgettable appearance.
He has extra-thick lips, which means his owners have to bottle-feed him. He also has a tiny second tail that sits right above his one eye.
While some may think Kevin is ugly, his owners love the unusual puppy just as he is.
