After being adopted by the hospital, Bea was allowed to roam freely, and staff were amazed by her behaviour.
Bea began reaching into the cages of other animals, including chickens, goats, and more, to gently stroke them.
The hospital staff ensure all visiting animals are comfortable with cats and gain the owner's approval before Bea interacts with them.
Feline therapy
According to the staff, Bea seems to empathise with the animals, often sitting quietly by their cages before offering her gentle touch.
Bea’s affectionate nature didn’t stop there. When another cat, Peggy, arrived at the hospital, Bea immediately bonded with her.
The two became inseparable, with Peggy quickly mimicking Bea's actions, including reaching out to comfort the animals.
Therapy cat in training
Peggy now follows Bea everywhere and imitates her every move, from stroking the birds to watching other animals.
The hospital staff have fallen in love with the duo, describing their bond as a heartwarming boost for everyone.
Bea and Peggy continue to thrive in their new home at the hospital, comforting all the animals they meet.
