After enduring years of abuse, Snoopy, a small Griffon crossbreed, is eager to experience the warmth of a real family.

Snoopy's past is filled with hardship, having lived in deplorable conditions at the Noah's Ark shelter on the French island of Reunion.

Deplorable conditions

The shelter, condemned in December 2023, housed over 100 dogs in filthy cages, surrounded by excrement, insects, and rats, with no hope of escape.

The dogs were confined to dark cages until several organisations intervened to expose the inhumane conditions and rescue them. All the animals have since been seized and relocated to local shelters.

Snoopy then spent two more years in a cage before joining a temporary foster family. At six years old, Snoopy is now more than ready to discover life beyond the shelter.

New home for Snoopy

Despite his traumatic past, Snoopy is a good-natured dog who craves human contact. Initially shy, he quickly warms up to those who show him kindness and patience. He is affectionate and friendly, currently enjoying the company of another dog in his foster home.

Snoopy can easily adapt to a household with or without other dogs, provided he can interact with them during walks. Snoopy is still learning the basics of family life and is eager to adapt. He has mastered simple commands and responds well to children and cats.

Snoopy’s gentle nature and willingness to learn make him an ideal companion for a loving family.

We hope Snoopy finds the caring home he deserves and finally experiences the joy of being part of a family.
