During a routine check of the cats, Alicia discovered an unexpected guest: a tiny baby opossum.
Surprise discovery
At first, Alicia hadn't noticed the young opossum because she was so tiny and huddled in the corner. But she spotted it, she couldn't believe her eyes.
In a TikTok video, she shared her surprise discovery, in which Alicia asked the opossum how she had managed to get in there.
The comments section of her video was filled with light-hearted speculations. One user suggested the opossum was an "emotional support baby" for the cats, while another joked that the opossum's mother had arranged a sleepover.

However, a commenter's plausible theory suggested that the baby opossum might have clung to one of the cats during their playtime in the catio and remained attached as they returned inside.
Remarkably, Alicia's cats seemed to recognise the opossum as a vulnerable baby, showing no aggression towards her. Instead, they peacefully coexisted with their tiny visitor.
Recognising the need to ensure the opossum's safety, Alicia later updated her followers that several wildlife rehabilitators had offered to care for the opossum until she was ready to be released back into the wild. "She's very sweet," Alicia commented, still amazed at the unexpected encounter, "I cannot believe she was in there with three cats, and they were just chilling with her."
