The 12-year-old cat called Lawrence had spent his life fending for himself on an abandoned farm.
Mini Puma lookalike
While Lawrence was forced to scavenge food to survive, a kind-hearted neighbour took pity on the cat and began giving him food. Eventually, they took Lawrence to the cat sanctuary in the hope that he would be able to find a loving home.
When he arrived at Tabby’s Place, everyone was stunned at how much he looked like a mini Puma, thanks to his huge paws and handsome regal face.
But while he may have lived the life of a stray, Lawrence certainly didn’t have the confidence of a wild cat.
Initially nervous, Lawrence took a while to warm up to his new surroundings, eventually revealing his sweet nature. Once he felt comfortable at his new temporary home, he allowed staff to groom him and trim his nails, all while tightly clutching his favourite toy for comfort. Eventually, Lawrence’s affectionate side emerged as he eagerly sought cuddles and attention.
Cat with a heart of gold
After spending months at the sanctuary, there was a glimmer of hope that Lawrence would finally find his happy ending when he captured the hearts of Mark and Susan, a couple who had previously adopted from Tabby’s Place.
Recognising a kindred spirit, the couple were delighted to welcome Lawrence into their home alongside their other cat, Yuki.
As he adjusted to his forever home, Lawrence seemingly embraced a comfortable routine involving overseeing his humans' kitchen activities.
Despite his age and everything he’s been through, Lawrence can’t hide his heart of gold and regularly showers his family with love and affection, often putting his huge paws to good use with vigorous kneading sessions to express his happiness.
We love a happy ending!
