An employee at the shelter shared the emotional moment, emphasising the anguish in the cats’ cries. Croissant and Danish, originally adopted from the rescue, were returned to the shelter due to their owners’ divorce. The despair in their cries resonated deeply with shelter staff and viewers.

As the cats wailed in fear, shelter staff reassured the distressed felines that they would be okay.
