Meet Fred – Our Gentle Giant Puppy Looking for His Forever Home!

Location: Ayr

Date of Birth: 10th December 2024

Fred is the biggest of Freya’s pups – a huge, bouncy boy with a heart as soft as his paws. One of a litter of 7, Fred and his siblings had a tough start after being separated from their mum (don’t worry, Freya is safe now too!). Despite this rocky beginning, Fred has blossomed into a loving, playful and affectionate pup who just needs the right home to thrive.

At only 7 months old, Fred is already the size of a Golden Retriever and weighs over 25kg – so please bear in mind he’s going to be a very big boy once fully grown. But with his kind, gentle nature, he really is a big softie at heart.

Fred’s Highlights:

Confident, sweet and eager to learn

Very affectionate – loves people and cuddles

Walks nicely on a lead, sits and gives paw – though he still needs a strong, confident owner to continue his training

House-trained and clean overnight

Friendly with other playful dogs (though he can get bullied a bit, as he’s such a soft lump!)

Adults-only or older children home only due to his size

Needs a large house and secure garden to suit his big build

Can be a little barky around new people at first, but calms quickly and is soon asking for cuddles

What Fred Needs: Fred is still very much a massive puppy – full of bounce and curiosity. He’ll need an experienced, confident owner who can handle his strength and continue his lead work and training. With patience, time, and gentle guidance, Fred will grow into the most loyal, loving companion. He adores people, enjoys playtime, and is already a volunteer favourite – described as an “absolute dream”. All he needs now is someone to believe in him and give him the space, guidance, and love he deserves.

Think you could be the one for Fred?
