Luci came on to our radar when she was found with a litter of 5 puppies in a cemetery in Romania in the depths of winter. The priest offered to keep them all safe and our rescuer out in Romania put out an appeal for money to buy a kennel to keep them warm and our rescue agreed to take them all once the pups were old enough to travel.
As things worked out, the pups got quite big quite quickly and mum Luci got very tired trying to meet their constant demands for food, so she was separated from them and we decided to travel her early.
Luci is a big girl and although currently quite underweight (recovering from feeding 5 big pups!) is still a magnificent specimen of a dog. She has just the sweetest, gentlest nature and is so grateful for any affection you show her. When she first arrived she curled up and went to sleep on a blanket that had been left out to be washed and it was as though it was the most precious thing in the whole world to her!
Since she moved into her own kennel she has been given a memory foam mattress, a clean fluffy blanket and a duvet and has cherished every single item and made no attempt to destroy anything.
Luci is a sweet gentle soul who would suit many different homes. She is quite a large dog (who we would anticipate to reach in the region of 45+ kilos when she has gained the correct amount of post-puppy feeding weight) and would love a large secure garden for her to stretch her legs in.
Luci is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, has a valid EU passport and has had a UK Brucellosis test.
If you feel you could give Luci the loving home she so deserves, please pop onto our website at www.savingandrehomingstrays.org and complete an adoption application. (Please note a virtual homecheck and a £500 adoption fee will apply). Thank you!
