Meet Maudy – A Delightful Little Girl Looking for Her Forever Home

DOB - 25 December 2024

Size: Small-medium, around Springer Spaniel or small Collie size

Location - Rescue in Ayr

Meet our lovely Maudy!

This happy little girl is ready to find a family of her own, and we think she is going to bring so much joy to the lucky people who welcome her home. Maudy is a cheerful, friendly girl who loves people and gets on well with other dogs. She has a lovely nature and is a real delight to be around. Now all she needs is someone to give her the chance to discover just how wonderful life in a loving home can be. Maudy was found with a broken leg, but thankfully this has been successfully repaired and she has no ongoing issues from her injury. She has been through a lot, but she hasn't lost her happy spirit, and now it is time for her next chapter.

What sort of home does Maudy need

Maudy hasn't yet experienced life in a home, so her new family will need to be patient and help her learn all the little things that many dogs take for granted.

She will need support with basic house training and getting used to household routines.

She has started walking on a lead, but she will need continued training and encouragement to build her confidence and skills. A secure garden will be essential

Maudy needs time to settle into her new home, get to know her family and become comfortable in her surroundings before gradually venturing out on walks. There is no need to rush her; the important thing is to help her feel safe and secure as she learns about her new world. Maudy could potentially live with sensible children, preferably older ones who understand how to behave kindly and respectfully around a dog. She could also live with another friendly, compatible dog.

Maudy's essentials

A happy, friendly girl who enjoys people and other dogs

A secure garden and a family willing to help her settle

Patience with house training, lead skills and all the new experiences of home life. Maudy is a delightful little girl with so much love and happiness to share. She doesn't need a perfect home or a family who knows everything already; she needs people who will give her time, kindness and the opportunity to learn at her own pace.
