  1. Get a piece of cardboard
  2. Cut it into several small square pieces
  3. Get a piece of string
  4. Make a knot on one end
  5. Thread your needle
  6. With the needle, poke a hole through one of the small pieces of cardboard and pull the string through
  7. Slip a bell or pom pom onto the string
  8. Repeat step 6 and 7 as needed
  9. Cut the string
  10. Make a knot to secure everything in place
