Several years ago, a Pitbull named Blue was brought to a high kill-shelter in the USA.
The dog was dropped off by his own family, who were moving and didn’t want to take Blue with them.

Blue couldn’t believe his own family would leave him behind. In his kennel, he sat in a corner, with his head down, and tears running down his face.
Though the tears were probably due to an allergy, Blue’s despair was real. And to make matters worse, no-one was interested in adopting him, which meant he would eventually have to be euthanised.
Desperate to help the poor dog who deserved so much better, a volunteer posted a heart-breaking video of him on Facebook, asking for a kind soul to take him in.

And sure enough, the call to action worked! A woman named Jennifer McKay immediately fell in love with the Pitbull and drove to the shelter to see him.
Jennifer knew she needed to help Blue. She immediately adopted him and took him home.
