Indeed, Peaches rapidly started gaining weight. The more she ate, the bigger she got, and the harder it was for her to do simple things.
For example, grooming herself was indescribably difficult! Especially when it came to un-tangling the fur around her bottom!
A new family and a new life
Her owners faced the tough reality: they were just too old to continue caring for their cat. So, they passed Peaches on to their daughter-in-law, Chrissy Higginson Barnabei, whose mission was to help the big cat shed some weight!
Though it would take some time, some issues had to be tended to right away, notably her matted butt hair. Chrissy, therefore, took Peaches to the vet, who advised that she get a special haircut to prevent the fur from causing any health problems.
A surprising new look
So, Peaches got a haircut and, well, we're pretty sure it beats anyone's bad hair day by a mile.
Chrissy couldn't help herself from laughing hysterically when she discovered her cat's little pink derriere, but Peaches didn't seem to mind at all. So all is well that ends well. Good luck on your weight loss journey, Peaches!
