The area where Ulli and Leia were walking is not a place many people pass through.
So, when she heard a dog barking, she was immediately concerned.
Quick thinking
Ulli knew she had to investigate the source of the barking. She followed the sound to the back of a hair salon, near a large rubbish bin. There, she discovered three chocolate-coloured dogs inside a cage. A wooden board and stones had been placed on top, covering it.
Ulli had expected to find one dog, but instead she found three: a mother with her two puppies. The cage was far too small to hold the whole family. She was in complete shock and knew she had to do something to help them.
Emergency rescue
Ulli called the Paws Patrol LV rescue organisation. When the rescuers arrived at the scene, they were heartbroken. The dogs had no food or water, as their cage was too small to even fit bowls inside.
Fortunately, after an examination, the whole family was found to be in good health. The dogs are now resting at the shelter and receiving all the care they need. One of the two puppies has already been adopted, and the other is still available. The mother dog is waiting to be spayed, after which she will also be put up for adoption.
